Listservs:
The MES sponsors the AAA Middle East Section listserv for members, which is maintained by the independent Task Force for Middle East Anthropology. It provides a venue for ongoing and active discussions, sharing syllabi, announcing calls-for-papers and publications, open positions, and general communication with other anthropologists and scholars interested in the Middle East.
Instructions for joining the AAA Middle East Section listserv can be found here: https://groups.google.com/g/aaa-middle-east-section/
Graduate students can join the MES Facebook group:
If you are looking for a way to meet other students conducting anthropological work in MENA and Central Asia please join the newly created Facebook group. Through the group, we share articles, award announcements, conferences and other exciting information about anthropological work being done in and around the region. It is also a great forum for connecting with fellow students and coordinating projects, journal submissions and social events. Please spread the word to students and colleagues about this forum so that it can be a space for sharing resources and coordinating our efforts.
